In Areni we will get acquainted with wines created from grapes grown since ancient times. In addition, we will meet with the medieval monastery of Noravank, which fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape.
Our stops on this exciting journey will not only be visually impressive, but also historically significant. The monastery, located just 100 meters from the border with Turkey, will give us breathtaking views of Mount Ararat and unsurpassed panoramas on the border itself. The village of Areni, named after the grape variety, will offer us dry and sweet wines of the highest quality, and the Noravank monastery, translated as “New Monastery,” will amaze us with its pearl of religious architecture, surrounded by majestic rocks.
