Tour program
Day 1:
In the morning we meet guests at the Orbeli Selim caravanserai, where they will be able to get acquainted with the history of this unique place. After getting acquainted with the horses and being instructed on safety rules, we will set off. Our route will begin with a trip through the Argitchi plateau, parallel to the sources of the Argitchi River. In an hour and a half we will reach the resting place of the Vagashen community, where guests will be able to get acquainted with the life of the mountain dwellers, and the horses will be given a rest.

Next, we will cross a large bridge over the Argitchi River and head to the foot of Mount Armaghan. Here we will have a lunch box and rest for the horses. After a half-hour rest, we will continue climbing to the top of Mount Armaghan, where we will enjoy magnificent views and light a candle in the chapel. Then we will begin the descent to the plateau and set up camp in one of the picturesque corners, where a fresh lunch will be prepared: khashlama, salads, wine, bread, cheese, fruits and other dishes depending on the season.

Day 2:
After the difficult passage of the first day, guests will be able to rest until 9:30 am. After breakfast and feeding the horses, we will go to the Argitchi plateau. Our path lies to the star map of the Black Mountain, dating back to the 5-3 millennia BC. This ancient monument is associated with the history of the ancient Armenian volcanic formation and is located at an altitude of 2666 meters above sea level.

After examining the star map, we will begin the descent into one of the gorges facing north of the Vardenis ridge. Here we will stop for a short rest and dinner. In the evening, an accompanying SUV will arrive to deliver the guests’ personal belongings, tents and bags. We will also learn the history of the historical city of Kot and its underground passages. In the evening, by the fire, we will share our impressions of the day.

Day 3:
In the morning, after breakfast and feeding the horses, we will go to the mineral water source. After tasting it, we will turn back and begin a gradual climb to Astron Peak, the second highest peak of the Vardenis Range (3470 m). Here is the Chapel of St. John, the highest shrine in Armenia.

The day ends with a special evening where guests will be able to cook their own Armenian shashlik, enjoy wine and music, creating an unforgettable experience for the last evening of the tour.

Day 4:
Given the busy schedule of the previous day, the morning will start around 9:30. After breakfast and feeding the horses, we will pack up the camp, saddle the horses and take the pre-prepared lunch boxes with us. Our route lies northeast, towards the town of Martuni. We will arrive in Martuni around 16:00-16:30, where we will leave the horses in the forest adjacent to the town. The guests will be placed in their transport at the Martuni-Sevan highway, where we will say goodbye to each other.

The price for one day per person is 90,000 drams, which includes horse rental, three meals a day, guided horseback riding, off-road vehicle services, delivery to Yerevan at the beginning and end of the hike, 2-3-person tents, sleeping bag is not provided.
