FEAST OF THE HOLY SPEAR IN ECHMIADZIN

The Feast of the Holy Lance is an important event for Armenian believers. On this day, thousands of pilgrims gather in Echmiadzin to take part in the liturgy and receive a blessing. The Holy Lance is believed to have the power of healing and spiritual purification. This holiday carries deep religious and spiritual significance, attracting the attention of believers and tourists from all over the world.

The Feast of the Holy Lance is a religious event dedicated to one of the most important Christian artifacts – the spear that pierced Jesus Christ on the cross. The spear is kept in the monastery of Geghard, but once a year it is transferred to the main cathedral of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Etchmiadzin, where a festive liturgy is held.
